1. Provide information throughout the various proposal, design and construction phases to the proposal, project teams or Business Unit with regards to all aspects of Process Engineering.
2. Prepare process design to support Proposals and Projects for the Business Unit.
3. Perform a thorough review of customer's inquiry and / or Request for Process Design information.
4. Evaluate and calculating cycle time of new existing processes to identify opportunities for cost-savings, process enhancements and other improvements.
5. Develop innovative ideas and alternatives to be cost competitive with Proposals.
6. Improve process capability, shorten turnaround time while increase production volume and improving quality standards.
7. Work on the various machine and equipment to streamline processes and ensure consistency throughout.
8. Perform raw materials testing, collect data, prepare samples for study and show results in reports.
9. Investigate, enhance or troubleshoot the plant, process, machinery and equipment problems. Advice on corrective actions.
10. Scheduling and coordinating work in tight deadlines but within financial budget.
11. Ensure that equipment work to its specification and to appropriate capacities.
12. Assess safety and environmental issues, ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation.
13. Research and purchase new manufacturing technology.

QA Engineer Job Description

Date: 20 November 2023, Monday

1. To monitor the implementation and validate the effectiveness of all corrective actions taken for any non-conformances detected, which relate directly to the product quality of the assigned models.
2. Carries out relevant in-process buy off and testing in the Production Department.
3. Accountable for the quality of products produced by Production Department.
4. Assist Production section in development and implementation of the defined Quality Systems with respect to compliance and continuous improvements.
5. Upkeep of related quality procedures.
6. Review and propose quality measures and processes to eliminate all quality incidents which directly affect the product quality of the assigned models.
7. Analyze all quality information periodically and drive all Quality Improvement Activities.
8. Provide technical assistance and ensuring a high competency level is maintained in quality.
9. Conduct periodic audits to ensure line and process compliances are in line with customers' requirements.
10. Monitor and review supplier and sub-con performance, inspection and improve the quality of product.
11. Updating issues regarding quality & ensure issues are reviewed and bought up to the relevant department.
12. Appointed as an Internal Auditor for Starlite Printers (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd
13. Ensure adequate actions taken to prevent occurrence of any non-conformities relating quality.
14. Ensuring the effectiveness of quality & environmental management systems.
15. Establish & maintain the quality management process & train junior staff and all peers to ensure compliance of the quality process.
16. Establishing quality limit samples for QA and Production Departments.
17. Preparing documentation for FA sample submission. To conduct the first article inspection of materials for both the customer and supplier.

19. To conduct training for QC inspectors and technicians on quality-related topics, such as on-the-job training or ISO training.
20. To ensure all incoming and outgoing materials pertaining to specific customer accounts are in compliance with specifications.
21. To ensure non-conformance materials are properly segregated and disposition carried out.
22. To support and assist in customer and third -party audits.
23. To perform internal audits and supplier audits when necessary.
24. To initiate corrective actions to identify defect causes and execute improvement activities according to their needs.
25. To establish and maintain quality documents such as SOP, WI, etc.
26. To coordinate with customers on the corrective action report, including date to reply and effectiveness.
27. To liaise with customer, production, and suppliers in technical aspect related to product quality. 
28. To assist in IA (internal audit) to implement the company's quality and environmental systems in line with ISO 9000 and 14001 standards.
29. To assist QA Manager in the migration of quality procedure walk-throughs.
30. To perform physical inspection, chemical inspections for raw material, packaging materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
31. To follow company rules and regulations.
32. To setup quality action team to solve the problem and identify the root cause.
33. To execute and assist the Quality Assurance Manager in other duties assigned.
