Rest at resort room for a while.

12:30 pm, took shuttle bus from Colmar Tropicale to Japanese Village again. Walk 88 steps staircase up to Japanese restaurant.

Muzium Kota Johor Lama

KOTA JOHOR LAMA

Dibina dalam tahun 1540 di zaman pemerintahan Sultan Alauddin Riayat Shah II (1528-1564). Kota ini merupakan kota pertahanan yang terbaik di antara kota-kota pertahanan yang dibina di sepanjang Sungai Johor.

Selepas kejatuhan Kesultanan Melayu Melaka dalam tahun 1511, Sungai Johor telah dijadikan pusat pemerintahan dan kota pertahanan untuk menyerang balas kedudukan Portugis di Melaka. Keadaan semula jadi kota ini memudahkan pengawasan dibuat terhadap pergerakan keluar masuk kapal-kapal terutamanya ancaman dari orang-orang Acheh dan Portugis.

Dalam tahun 1587, kota ini jatuh ke tangan Portugis. Keseluruhan kota ini dibakar dan harta benda termasuk senjata dirampas

OLD JOHOR PORT

It was built in 1540 during the reigned of Sultan Alauddin Riayat Shah II (1528-1564). This fort was the best defence fort among the deference fort built along the Sungai Johor.

After the fall of Malay Sultanate of Malacca in 1511, Sungai Johor became the reigning centre and the defence fort to counter attack the Portuguese position in Malacca. The natural environment of the port make it easier to supervise the movement of the ships especially the threat from the Achiness and the Portuguese.

In 1587, the fort fell to the Portuguese. The whole fort was burn down and all assets including weapons were being taken.
